Our Fleet:

The Hudson Explorer: Our classic excursion train offers a unique ride to revel in the beauty of the Adirondacks. Service from Saratoga Springs to North Creek begins in the morning with return trips in the late afternoon, giving you plenty of time to enjoy visiting farmer’s markets, craft fairs, museums or do some well-deserved shopping. We promise you’ll never have the same trip twice on the Hudson Explorer!
The Merganser: Prefer a leisurely afternoon excursion? The Merganser offers north and southbound scenic train rides between North Creek and Thurman before its return voyage to Saratoga Springs. Riding past the ducks to which the train pays homage, the Merganser travels along the Hudson River for a relaxing afternoon journey through the Adirondacks.
The New York Express: Greet the day with the early-morning service from North Creek to Saratoga Springs.

For your added convenience and enjoyment, breakfast, lunch and beverage service are available on board.

Vintage Trains:

No one can resist the lure of a classic railroad trip harkening back to the days when the chug-chug of the train engine meant settling back for a relaxing ride. We’re proud to unveil the newest members of our fleet, two vintage coaches The Golden Sands and Bryce Canyon. These coaches offer an unparalleled nostalgic ambiance coupled with the utmost comfort available today, such as reclining seats with plenty of leg room.

Dinner Train:
Make it a special evening by taking a dinner train. We serve culinary specialties such as Grilled Fillet of Salmon with sliced lemon and Hollandaise Caper Sauce, or New York Strip Steak grilled to order with Sautéed Mushrooms in Sherry Demi-Glaze. Bring your sense of adventure and your appetite!

Dome-window Cars:

For a spectacular panoramic view of the Hudson River and its gorgeous backdrop, reserve seats on our premium dome-windowed cars. The dome cars feature table seating on the upper and lower level, with restaurant-quality meals served on the upper level. Bring your family and friends for a memorable trip they’ll cherish for years to come.
